Situated in a very peaceful position, Cherry Lane Cottage has a serene peaceful outlook over Rocky Hill to the north on the northern edge of Gulgong.
The Cottage is suitable for couples or small families and offers beautiful linen, a breakfast basket, lovely lawns and outdoor vistas. It is close to, but not part of, the main farm house and has its own courtyard, driveway and car park. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor areas as they wish and privacy is assured. It is only one minute by car to historical Gulgong or 15 minutes to a selection of fabulous wineries, restaurants, boutique shops and many other attractions of the Mudgee Region.
Gulgong has a population of about 2000 and is a 19 century quaint gold rush town with narrow streets, 77 National Trust buildings and lots of history. To fully appreciate the gold rush days and the fascinating historical value of Gulgong you could visit the Pioneers’ Museum, The Henry Lawson Centre or take a walk and just look at the architectural delights of an era gone by. The town also boasts the Cudgegong Regional Gallery which holds regular exhibitions in a variety of media and subject with items for sale. The Gallery is housed in the converted Town Hall in Herbert Street and easily warrants a visit.
